SUNDAY

Arrive Ben Gurion Upon arrival to Ben Gurion Airport, you will be met by the local representative in the "Baggage Claim" area, just past the "Passport Control" counters. You will be assisted to the driver who will transfer you to your hotel in Tel Aviv. The remainder of the day would be at leisure, to relax after the long flight. Dinner at the hotel. MONDAY - CAESAREA-MEGIDDO-MOUNT CARMEL-ACRE-KIBBUTZ

Your guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel by 8:30 a.m. (you will be advised the exact time upon your arrival to the hotel). Drive along Via Maris to Caesarea, the Roman capital of Palestine under Pontius Pilate. Visit the Roman, Byzantine and Crusader ruins, the aqueduct and the impressive Roman Theater. Travel inland to Megiddo, one of Solomon's chariot cities and the site of the coming Battle of the Armageddon. Continue north to Haifa, for a panoramic view of the city. Travel then further north to the ancient city of Acre and visit its underground Crusader stronghold and the medieval fortifications. Continue to Kibbutz Lavi, for dinner and overnight. TUESDAY - TIBERIAS-BOAT RIDE-CAPERNAUM-TABGHA-MOUNT OF BEATITUDES-GOLAN HEIGHTS

After a short tour of Tiberias, take a board ride on the Sea of Galilee, to Capernaum, the center of Jesus preaching. Visit the ruins of the ancient synagogue, then proceed to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish. Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes, the site of the Sermon on the Mount. Then, proceed to Caesarea Philippi, at the Banias Springs. Return to the hotel in time for dinner. Overnight Galilee

WEDNESDAY - CANA-NAZARETH-YARDENIT-BEIT SHEAN-JERUSALEM

Drive to Nazareth via Cana, the site of the Wine Miracle and the Wedding. Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and Mary's Well. Drive then to Yardenit, the Baptismal site on the River Jordan. Continue to Beit Shean to visit the excavations of the Roman Amphitheater. Then drive along the Jordan River Valley to Jerusalem and check into your hotel, just in time for dinner. THURSDAY - OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM

Drive to Mount of Olives and the Hill of the Ascension for a panoramic view of the beautiful city of Jerusalem. Visit the Church of All Nations and King David's Tomb, and then pause for meditation in the Upper Room. Enter within the walls of the Old City and visit the Cardo. Proceed to the Temple Mount area, view the Western (Wailing) Wall and view the Dome of the Rock (entrance to the mosque is not included). Follow the footsteps of Jesus along Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. The tour today ends with a visit to the Garden Tomb. Dinner at your hotel. Overnight Jerusalem

FRIDAY - NEW CITY OF JERUSALEM-BETHLEHEM

Start the tour today visiting the Church of the Visitation at Ein Karem. Visit then Yad Vashem, the memorial to the six million Jews killed in the Holocaust. On to the Israel Museum, for a visit of the Shrine of the Book, where some of the famous Dead Sea scrolls are displayed. Also see there the Jerusalem model, a true-to-scale 1-50 model depicting the city as it was in the time of Jesus. Drive to the "little town of Bethlehem" (pending authorities' permission), to visit the Church of the Nativity, built over the stable where Jesus was born, and the Shepherds' Fields. Return to your hotel in time for dinner. Overnight Jerusalem

SATURDAY - DEAD SEA-MASSADA-QUMRAN

Morning departure to Massada. Stop at Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Drive through the Wilderness of Judea, along the Dead Sea (the lowest spot on earth) to Massada. Ascend by cable car and visit the excavations, Herod's palace, synagogue and bathhouses. Enjoy the view of the wilderness from this magnificent site. Return then to Jerusalem and have dinner at the hotel. Overnight Jerusalem

SUNDAY - JERASH-AMMAN

Please be in the lobby of your hotel by 8:00 am; your driver will meet you by 8:15 a.m. and you will be transferred to the Beit Shean / Sheik Hussein border crossing point. Cross into Jordan and after the border procedures proceed to Jerash, city of the Decapolis, located about 30 miles north of Amman, in the fertile heights of the Gilad. Visit the ancient Roman city with its colonnaded streets, the baths and the hilltop Temple. Drive then to Amman, the capital city of Jordan. After a short orientation tour, which will permit you to view the various landmarks of the city, drive to your hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight Amman

MONDAY - PETRA

After early breakfast at the hotel, travel south on the road to Wadi Musa. Continue on horseback to the "Siq" (canyon) and then on foot to Petra, known as "The Red Rock" city. Petra was the ancient capital of the Nabateans from the 3rd century B.C. to 2nd century A.D. Visit the most interesting carved monuments, such as the Treasury, El Khazneh (a tomb of a Nabatean king), then the field of tombs, obelisks, the altar (Al Madhbah). From this point you can view the entire rock city. Return then to Wadi Musa Village and drive back to Amman for dinner and overnight. Overnight Amman

TUESDAY - MADABA-MOUNT NEBO-BEN GURION AIRPORT

Drive to Madaba, to see the ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land and ruins of the historical sites. Continue about 6 miles to Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. From there you will see the Jordan Valley, Jericho, the Dead Sea, etc. Visit the remains of the Byzantine church, where a collection of Byzantine mosaics is exhibited. Return then to the border crossing point and, after the border crossing procedures, you will be transferred back to Jerusalem and from there to Ben Gurion Airport, for your night flight back to the United States.
