  • Day 1 DEPART THE USA

    Your spiritual journey begins as you depart on your transatlantic flight.

    Day 2 ARRIVE ATHENS

    Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

    Day 3 ATHENS AND THE ACROPOLIS CORINTH

    See the splendid architecture of this city beginning with Constitution Square, the Parliament, the Royal Palace and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Visit the world renowned Acropolis with the Propylaea, the Parthenon, Temple of Athena Nike and the Agora. Drive via the Bay of Salamis and the Sardonic Gulf to Corinth. See the canal and tour the ruins of the ancient city. Continue to Mycenai, a city of pre-Hellenic Greece where civilization flourished about 1400 BC.

    Day 4 FULL DAY DELPHI

    Depart for Delphi, the home of the god Apollo and one of the most famous sites in classical Greece. Visit the Museum and the famed statue of the charioteer of Delphi, the temple of Apollo where the oracles held court; the Castila Spring where pilgrims cleansed themselves before consulting the oracle; the ancient theatre and the well-preserved stadium.

    Day 5 DELPHI/KALAMBAKA/METEORA

    Continue to Meteora, outside Kalambaka to see the picturesque "Hanging Cliff Monasteries." Monks that sought refuge and seclusion built these during the Byzantine period. These magnificent precarious structures are perched on the pinnacles of sheer rock mountains. A number of these are open to visitors.

    Day 6 KALAMBAKA/THESSALONIKI

    Visit the tomb of Philip of Macedonia on the way to Thessaloniki. This afternoon you will see the old city ramparts, St. George Church, and the Galerius Arch which rises over the Via Egnatia.

    Day 7 THESSALONIKI/ MUSEUM/PHILIPPI

    Visit the Archeological museum and view the treasures of King Philip. Travel on to Philippi, named after Philip II of Macedon who once captured the city. It was here Apostle Paul and Silas were confined. A crypt from the Roman period is thought to have been a prison for St. Paul.

    Day 8 THESALONIKI/ATHENS

    Drive to Pella, birthplace of Alexander. Return to Athens via the Valley of Tempi and Thermopylae.

    Day 9 EMBARK CRUISE SHIP / SAIL TO MYKONOS

    Transfer to Pireaus Port and board your cruise ship. Set sail for the island of Mykonos with its dazzling white houses, narrow paved streets and windmills.

    Day 10 EPHESUS AND PATMOS

    Arrive at the port of Kusadasi, Turkey and visit the magnificent city of Ephesus, where Paul lived for three years on his way to Rome, and where one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis, once stood. Visit the Temple of Diana, the mile long paved avenue, the theater and marketplace. Sail for the island of Patmos, where St. John the Evangelist wrote the Book of Revelations in one of its many caves. See the massive, hilltop monastery overlooking the beautiful landscape.

    Day 11 RHODES

    This morning you will arrive at Rhodes, called the Island of Roses. Visit the Castle of the Knights of St. John, Palace of the Grand Master and the Hospital of the Knights. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure or take an optional tour to Lyndos on the east side, with its ancient acropolis and medieval building.

    Day 12 DEPART ATHENS

    Arrive in Piraeus and transfer to the Athens airport for your flight home, the end of a beautiful adventure.
